Privacy policy

Effective October 26, 2026. This policy covers GovBot Energy Infrastructure at energy.govbot.ai, operated by Ideation Lab, Corp.

Information processed and purposes

The service processes tool arguments such as coordinates, search radii, bounding boxes, state codes, balancing authority codes and facility types to select public records. A coordinate pair can identify a home or other location; the service uses it only to answer the request. It processes network and request metadata, including IP address, time, route, response status and user agent, to operate and protect the service. It does not require an account, use advertising cookies or collect payment information. Do not include names, confidential information or other sensitive personal data in tool arguments.

Recipients

Google Cloud hosts the gateway and processes operational request metadata. GovBot’s data service processes lookup arguments. The service downloads complete EIA datasets and selects records itself, so tool arguments are not sent to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. We do not forward caller credentials or identities to any agency. The client you use, such as Claude, processes your conversation and returned records under its own privacy policy.

Retention

Operational request logs are retained for 30 days. The gateway and data service do not log tool arguments, request bodies or returned records. EIA datasets are held in process memory for up to twelve hours and are not written to storage. Rate-limit identifiers are held in process memory and cleared within 60 seconds.

Your choices and contact

You can stop using or disconnect the service at any time and manage conversation history through your client. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@govbot.ai. Do not send credentials or sensitive personal information.
